Your privacy matters at smartlifesol. We built this policy to be readable, thorough, and to exceed AdSense requirements — no legal jargon, just clarity on how we handle your data.
🔍 1. What information we collect & why
a. You actively provide
When you contact us via email or form: name, email address, and any message content. We use this only to reply — never for marketing. We delete inquiry details after one year.
b. Automatic (non-personal)
Like most sites, we collect anonymized usage data: pages visited, tool interactions, browser type. We use Google Analytics with IP masking — no personal identification.
🍪 2. Cookies and similar technologies
We use minimal first-party cookies to remember your consent preferences and tool settings (e.g., last input). After AdSense approval, third-party cookies (Google AdSense) may be used for personalized ads. You'll see a clear consent banner before any ad cookies drop. You can always change settings via browser.
- consent_status – stores your cookie choice (expires 1 year).
- tool_preference – temporarily saves last used value (session only).
- _ga / _gid – anonymized Google Analytics (expire 2 years). You can opt out via browser extension.
🤝 3. How we share information (spoiler: we don't sell)
We never sell or rent your personal data. We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics with partners or in case of legal requirement. Third-party processors we use:
- Google Analytics (privacy policy here) – for understanding audience.
- Cloudflare – to secure and accelerate the site.
- Email host (ProtonMail) – for contact messages, encrypted.
All processors are GDPR-compliant and sign data processing agreements.
📢 4. AdSense & personalized advertising
Google AdSense requirements
Once approved, Google uses cookies to serve ads based on users' prior visits. You may see ads tailored to your interests. We provide:
- ✅ A clear cookie consent banner (prior to any ad cookies).
- ✅ Link to Google Ad Settings to opt-out of personalization.
- ✅ Information about YourAdChoices (for US users).
We do not host ads that use sensitive categories (health, religion, etc.).

Depending on your location, you have rights over your data. We respect them all:

⏳ 6. Data retention & security
We keep contact form submissions for up to 12 months, then they're permanently deleted. Analytics data is anonymized and kept for 26 months (standard Google Analytics setting). We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and restrict internal access.
🧒 7. Children's privacy (COPPA)
smartlifesol is not directed to children under 16. If we become aware that a child has provided personal information without parental consent, we delete it immediately. Parents can request removal by contacting us.
📅 8. Policy changes
We may update this privacy page to reflect changes in law or our practices. If changes are significant, we'll display a notice on the website for 14 days. The "last updated" date always shows at the top.
